CAREERS · INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR
Account Executive
You help turn good conversations into signed projects. When an owner books a free review with Jonah, you listen in, learn what they need, and help write a short, clear recommendation. Then you follow up with the owner until they make a decision. You are honest: you never promise what we cannot deliver.

WHY ASTERION
A company worth growing with.
Asterion helps businesses bring AI and custom software into the way they actually work: the tools they already use, the processes that eat their week. We are growing, and we need good people to grow with.
- Real work that matters. You help real business owners fix real problems. No busywork, no scripts for their own sake.
- A company still being built. We are building this company on purpose. The people who join early shape how we work and can become a big part of it.
- Fair, flexible and hands-off. Remote, with clear goals and room to do the work your way. Jonah, the founder, is not a strict boss: we want smart people who work hard and treat each other and customers fairly.
- You earn more when you win more. We agree on your pay together before you start, no surprises. Do great work and you can make a lot of money doing this.
A NORMAL WEEK
What the work looks like.
- Before every review, read the private prep brief: what the owner told our caller, in their own words.
- Join the 30-minute Business Systems Review with Jonah. The owner does most of the talking; you listen for the goal, the current systems, the connected problems and the cost of leaving them. No price on the call.
- Within the day you promised, shape the recommendation with Jonah and the engineers and send one clear proposal or a precise update. Scope and price are approved with Jonah.
- Follow up to a decision: yes, no or not now. After a yes, hand the project to delivery with the start conditions clear.
- Keep every opportunity, note and next step current in the CRM.
WHAT YOU WOULD OWN
Yours to run.
- The notes from every review you join, and what they show the owner needs.
- The recommendation and proposal, drafted with the founder and engineers.
- The follow-up through to a clear decision.
- The accuracy of every opportunity you touch.
HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED
What a good month looks like.
- Reviews held, and qualified opportunities: a buyer who confirmed the problem, the responsible person and an agreed next step.
- Proposals delivered on the day you promised.
- Signed engagements, and the value signed.
- Honest records: nothing marked held, accepted or paid without evidence.
SKILLS
What we need from you.
Must have
- Consultative B2B sales or account-management experience, ideally with technical or software products.
- Enough technical understanding to talk about integrations, data and automation with a business owner.
- Honesty about what can and cannot be delivered; no pressure tactics.
- Writing that is clear enough for a buyer to say yes to.
Nice to have
- Selling custom software, IT or professional services.
- Writing proposals or statements of work, or pricing a project.
TOOLS AND PEOPLE
What you would use, and who you would work with.
Tools
- The CRM: deals, meetings and the prep brief for each review.
- Calendly and Zoom for the review itself.
- Asterion’s proposal template and quote and risk card for shaping scope.
- Google Workspace for email, and AI tools for research and note-taking.
Who you work with
- Jonah, the founder, who approves scope and price, signs agreements and, today, runs the reviews.
- The callers, who hand you booked reviews with notes.
- The engineers and delivery lead, who check feasibility and take the project after a yes.
YOUR VIDEO
Show us who you are, for this role.
You do not need any AI experience. We will train you. What we care about most is that you are dedicated, hard-working and want to stick with us and grow with the company. Be yourself: we would much rather meet you than a perfect script.
Record a 60–90 second video and email it to [email protected] with the role in the subject line. Subject line: “Video: Account Executive”.
What to say in your video
- Who you are, where you are based, and why this role interests you.
- An owner says, “Our systems are a mess.” What would your first three questions be, and what would you listen for?
- Explain one technical idea (an integration or an automation) to that owner in plain words, and how you would end the call with a clear next step and no pressure.
- How many hours a week you can give, and when you could start.
Your phone is fine, one take is fine, and it does not need to be polished. Sit somewhere quiet with good light and talk to the camera like you would to a person. Send a file or a link (Google Drive, YouTube unlisted, Loom or similar).
Email your video to [email protected], or upload it or paste a link in the form. Read the full guide.
